Animate Text on the Edit Page Without Building a Fusion Graph
Use Text, Text+, the Inspector and ready-made transitions when a full Fusion composition is unnecessary.
You can build clean motion titles without opening the Fusion page. The key is choosing the right title tool, creating contrast first and keeping motion purposeful.
1. Text or Text+
Basic Text is enough for simple labels. Text+ gives you more typography and animation controls; it is powered by Fusion technology, but you do not need to open the Fusion page to use it.
2. Build a readable composition first
Place the title on a track above the video. If the background is busy, use a Background/Color Generator, a translucent panel or a shadow. Solve readability before animation.
3. Animate from the Inspector
Position, zoom, opacity and other parameters can be keyframed directly in the Inspector. A small position shift plus opacity is often cleaner than spinning or over-animated movement.
4. Use Video Transitions when speed matters
Apply a transition to the title clip when you need a fast result, then check both the entrance and exit. A preset is useful only when it matches the visual language of the video.
5. Two-line hierarchy and safe areas
Separate primary and secondary text with size, weight and color. For vertical video, leave room for platform UI and avoid pushing important text to the bottom edge.
6. Make the title reusable
If a style appears repeatedly, save a preset/project template or duplicate a configured title clip. Consistency is more valuable than making every title unique.
