Krokodove in DaVinci Resolve 21

Krokodove is a Fusion tool collection developed for more than 20 years as a third-party project. In DaVinci Resolve 21, Blackmagic Design integrates a substantial Krokodove set directly into Fusion and Edit Effects. This cluster separates what Resolve 21 officially documents from the legacy external plug-in, then connects those tools to practical guidance and our detailed node encyclopedia.

What changed in Resolve 21

Krokodove is no longer just an obscure third-party add-on

Blackmagic uses two different counts for the integration: the main DaVinci Resolve 21 product page says Krokodove adds over 70 new graphics, while the New Features Guide describes more than a hundred motion-graphics effects and tools. The brief table that follows explicitly names 61 tools and modifiers. These counts describe different scopes, so 61 should not be presented as the total size of the integrated set.

The official guide describes an integrated Krokodove toolset, but it does not state that every historical external Krokodove tool was ported one-for-one. For that reason our encyclopedia marks as Krokodove only the tools Blackmagic explicitly names in the Resolve 21 feature guide, rather than assigning the label from a familiar or overlapping node name.

Krokodove does not replace standard Fusion. Its value is specialization: procedural patterns, segment warps, seamless loops, pixel sorting, mapped duplication and parameter modifiers that can reduce the amount of generic graph-building required for a specific effect.

Important

DaVinci Resolve 21 needs no separate Krokodove install

In current DaVinci Resolve 21, Krokodove ships with Fusion. Reactor-era instructions, manual plugin copying and separate downloads describe legacy versions and should not be mixed into a Resolve 21 setup.

These groups follow Blackmagic Design's Resolve 21 guide, but each is described from a workflow perspective rather than as a bare feature list.

Version status and documentation

The version matrix and documented-tool list in this cluster are grounded in Blackmagic Design's Resolve 21 documentation and the original Krokodove developer page. We distinguish Blackmagic's over-70-graphics product wording, its more-than-100 effects-and-tools guide wording, and the 61 tools explicitly named in the brief guide table. The legacy external plug-in is kept separate from the Resolve 21 integration.
