Generates repeating grids, triangles or honeycomb structures with control over size, rotation, thickness, colors, fill and repetition.

Pattern creates procedural geometric tiling without source media. It is useful for backgrounds, masks, textures, UI graphics and animated design systems.

Overview

What Pattern does

Type selects the cell family, while Size, Aspect, Rotation and Thickness define the geometry of each repeated unit.

Fill modes and color controls can produce outlines, solid tiles or checker-style structures. Repeat controls decide whether the pattern extends indefinitely or only for a chosen count.

Render and Image controls are important when the pattern contains fine details because supersampling and output resolution directly affect edge quality.

Think of Pattern as a procedural tile: design one cell, then let Fusion repeat and render it across the frame.

Global In/Out

Sets the frame range over which the node is active.

Type

Chooses Grid, Triangles or Honeycomb geometry.

Center X / Y

Sets the X/Y coordinates for center.

Size

Controls tile scale.

Rotation X / Rotation Y

Sets the horizontal and vertical rotation.

Rotation

Sets the rotation of the element.

Aspect

Adjusts the aspect ratio without changing the main scale control.

Thickness

Controls line or border thickness.

Offset

Shifts the tiling phase.

Color

Sets the color.

Red / Green / Blue / Alpha

Provides separate controls for the red, green, blue and alpha channels.

Repeat

Chooses how the generated pattern repeats beyond its base tile.

Repeat: Ad infinitum

Sets repeat to Ad infinitum.

Repeat: Numbered

Sets repeat to Numbered.

Fill

Chooses solid or checker-style filling.

Fill: Solid

Sets Fill to Solid.

Fill: Checkers

Sets Fill to Checkers.

Color Fill 1

Sets the secondary/fill color used inside the generated pattern.

Super-Sampling

Raises edge quality on small or rotated patterns.

Process Mode

Selects the processing mode.

Chooses how the node evaluates or combines the source data.

Width / Height

Sets the output width and height.

Pixel Aspect X / Y

Sets the pixel aspect ratio.

Auto Resolution

Lets Fusion derive the working resolution automatically.

Disable it only when this node needs an explicit canvas size.

Depth

Sets the depth.

Source Color Space / Source Gamma Space

Defines the color space and transfer curve used to interpret the generated Pattern output.
