Grid is Fusion's procedural graph-paper generator. It can produce technical overlays, perspective grids, HUD elements and structured backgrounds without drawing every line manually.

Overview

What Grid does

Row Cells and Column Cells define the basic density, while Major Line Spacing and line-width controls create hierarchy inside the grid.

The whole grid can then be panned, zoomed, rotated, sheared or tilted as one plane, which makes it useful for screen graphics and perspective-style overlays.

Because the result is procedural, it stays clean when animated and is easier to revise than a manually built set of line elements.

Mental model

Think of Grid as an infinite sheet of graph paper with controls for cell density, line hierarchy and a transform applied to the entire sheet.

Row Cells

Sets the number of horizontal cell divisions.

Column Cells

Sets the number of vertical cell divisions.

Major Line Spacing

Adds a repeating hierarchy of heavier lines.

Line Color

Sets grid color and alpha.

Red / Green / Blue

Sets the RGB color of the generated grid.

Use channel-specific controls when the operation should not affect all components equally.

Hor. Line Width

Adjusts the Hor. Line Width.

Ver. Line Width

Adjusts the Ver. Line Width.

Major Line Width

Sets the thickness of major grid lines.

Pan

Moves the grid horizontally.

Tilt

Moves the grid vertically.

Zoom

Sets the view or image zoom.

Rotate

Rotates the entire procedural grid around its center.

Width

Sets the horizontal size.

Height

Sets the vertical size.

ShearX

Shears the grid horizontally.

ShearY

Shears the grid vertically.

Pitch

Tilts the grid in perspective, pitching it forward or backward.

Yaw

Turns the grid plane left or right to create a perspective-like horizontal tilt.
