Box Blur
A direct blur with separate channel controls, iterations, border handling and Global Blend.
DaVinci Resolve 21 · Color encyclopedia
A structured catalog of DaVinci Resolve effects for the Color page: Blur & Focus, technical colour transforms, targeted colour work and finishing. Every completed FX opens a dedicated page built from the real Resolve panel.
The visual system stays restrained and premium: clear backgrounds, darker overlays for text readability and real Resolve panels directly inside the cards.

Eight effects are already documented in Resolve library order.

ACES Transform, Chromatic Adaptation and CST solve different technical transform tasks.

Color Compressor works on a chosen colour area without duplicating Curves or ColorSlice.

Film Grain, Glow and AI Face Refinement are next in the ordered catalog.
01 · Blur & Focus
The Blur section follows the Resolve library in order. These effects cover ordinary blur, optical bokeh, directional motion, pixelation, rotational blur and zoom streaks.
Blur controls attention, hides detail, builds depth and motion, and often finishes a shot more cleanly than broad grading changes.

A direct blur with separate channel controls, iterations, border handling and Global Blend.

AI depth separation, optical simulation and a controllable focus/bokeh workflow on a dedicated node.

Linear blur along a chosen angle for motion, streaks and controlled directional energy.

Soft Gaussian blur with horizontal/vertical channel adjustment and predictable edge behaviour.

Blur shaped by aperture, blade curvature, anamorphism, highlights and quality controls.

Pixelation through Pixel Frequency, Cell Shape, Aliasing and precise offsets for concealment or stylisation.

Rotational blur around a centre point with Blur Symmetry, Position, Quality and border handling.

Radial streaking from a chosen centre: Zoom Amount, Center Exclusion, Quality and Global Blend.
02 · Color FX
CST is not ACES Transform, white-point adaptation is not Color Compressor. Separate cards keep the control logic and search intent clean.

ACES Version, Input/Output Transform and Gamut Compress — an ACES-specific node-level transform.

Method, Source/Target Illuminant, Current Color Space and Gamma for technical white-point adaptation.

Target Color with independent Hue, Saturation and Luminance compression for stabilising a chosen colour region.

Input/Output Colour Space and Gamma, Tone Mapping and Gamut Mapping — Resolve's core manual technical transform.
03 · Next in line
These are not empty routes. Their panels are visible in the catalog, and full pages will be enabled only after the real controls are documented.

Film texture and controlled grain. It remains an overview entry until its detailed page arrives in order.

Glow around bright regions with its own shape/composite workflow, separate from primary exposure work.

Specialised AI face processing after the base grade — not a duplicate of Magic Mask, Qualifiers or Primaries.
Catalog logic
Resolve FX pages remain separate from broader Color Management and Colour Science pages. This keeps the control breakdown focused and avoids duplicate content between encyclopaedia sections.
Next implementation step
The FX catalog now establishes the visual pattern: readable dark overlays, clear non-blurred backgrounds, restrained accent colours and real Resolve interface details. The same language can be rolled through the rest of the Color section.
