Channel-driven pixel sorting and digital streaks
Sorts pixels or pixel ranges along rows or columns using selected channels and range controls to create controllable pixel-sorting, streaking and glitch abstractions.

Overview
What Sort does
Unlike a simple displacement, Sort actually reorders pixel values according to channel information. This creates characteristic elongated streaks, broken gradients and data-like digital structures.
The channel stack is central to the look: luminance, RGB, alpha or other available components can prioritize different image features. Range controls then gate the effect so sorting can happen only in selected value bands or procedurally generated regions.
Because the result can become visually dense very quickly, it is usually better to establish Direction, Sort Length and the first Sort Channel before adding secondary channels, jitter or overlapping ranges.
When to use it
Create vertical or horizontal pixel-sorting glitches
Stretch highlights or colors into digital streaks
Build data-mosh-like abstract textures
Create controlled corruption for transitions
Generate masks or overlays from sorted ranges
