Best Krokodove nodes to learn first

Krokodove contains dozens of tools, but learning them alphabetically is not useful. Start with nodes that introduce a genuinely specialized operation or noticeably simplify a common Fusion graph: procedural patterns, fragment reveals, looping, pixel sorting, channel transforms, data-driven 3D and focused warps.

Workflow ideas

How Krokodove mixes with standard Fusion nodes

Strong graphs rarely consist of Krokodove only. A specialized node solves one difficult operation while Merge, Transform, Glow, Blur, Renderer and masks remain the connective tissue.

Seamless motion background

Pattern → Transform → Seamless Loop → Glow

Pattern provides geometry, Transform supplies movement, Seamless Loop closes time and Glow finishes the look.

RGB glitch

MediaIn → Channel Shifter → Sort → Merge

Channel Shifter separates channel motion, Sort adds pixel ordering and Merge blends the processed branch back with the source.

Logo breakup

MediaIn/Logo → Fragments → Glow → Merge

Fragments handles splitting and reveal while standard Fusion nodes handle light and compositing.

Procedural 3D wall

Image Plane 3D → Mapped Duplicate 3D → Renderer 3D

An image map can vary the instances so the grid becomes data-driven instead of perfectly uniform.

Organic reveal

Mask/Image → Grow → Blur/Glow → Merge

Grow creates propagation from seed points; regular Blur/Glow tools soften and style the edge.

Animation modifiers deserve their own look

Beat, Random, Color Switcher, From File, Juggle and Write act more like parameter/text behavior sources than image filters. Beat, for example, drives timing in BPM or Frames per Beat with an ADSR envelope — it is a rhythm driver, not automatic audio analysis.

There is no single “best” node

For a simple scale, native Transform is clearer. For uniform 3D repetition, Duplicate3D is simpler. Krokodove becomes compelling when you need map-driven variation, segment warping, procedural looping or channel-specific transforms.
