Resolve 21 · official integration

Which Krokodove tools are in DaVinci Resolve 21?

DaVinci Resolve 21 genuinely integrates a large Krokodove set directly into Fusion and Edit Effects. But saying that every historical Krokodove tool was copied into Resolve would go beyond the documentation. Blackmagic uses several different counts, while the brief New Features Guide explicitly names 61 tools and modifiers. This page separates those scopes and shows what is actually confirmed.

70+

new graphics

The wording used for Krokodove on Blackmagic's main DaVinci Resolve 21 product page.

100+

effects and tools

The New Features Guide describes the integration more broadly as more than a hundred motion-graphics effects and tools.

61

explicitly named

The number of concrete tools and modifiers named in the guide's brief Fusion table.

Why 70+, 100+ and 61 are different scopes

70+ refers to “new graphics” on the Resolve 21 product page. 100+ is the broader New Features Guide wording for motion-graphics effects and tools. 61 is not presented as the total library size; it is the count of concrete names in the guide's brief table.

The careful wording is: Resolve 21 integrates a large Krokodove toolset; Blackmagic's brief guide explicitly documents 61 tools and modifiers across 10 groups, without stating that those 61 entries represent the entire historical Krokodove collection.

What changes for users

Resolve 21 does not require the old external plug-in install for the integrated set

Blackmagic titles the feature “Krokodove Toolset Integrated into Fusion and Edit Effects.” The Resolve 21 workflow starts with the current application itself, not an old ZIP, Reactor package or legacy Krokodove binary.

What we do not claim

Resolve 21 integration does not prove every historical Krokodove tool was ported one-for-one

The original Krokodove collection evolved for more than 20 years and had its own legacy v8.30 branch. Blackmagic describes an integrated toolset, but does not publish a statement that every historical external tool was transferred unchanged. We keep those two layers separate.

Version status and documentation

The version matrix and documented-tool list in this cluster are grounded in Blackmagic Design's Resolve 21 documentation and the original Krokodove developer page. We distinguish Blackmagic's over-70-graphics product wording, its more-than-100 effects-and-tools guide wording, and the 61 tools explicitly named in the brief guide table. The legacy external plug-in is kept separate from the Resolve 21 integration.
