Choose the source file here. If the project will be moved to another workstation, keep the path portable or collect the media with the project.
3D scene exporter
Exports Fusion 3D scenes and animation to FBX and several interchange formats for handoff to external DCC, CAD or motion-capture pipelines.
FBXExporter is the classic Fusion 3D interchange endpoint. It can write FBX binary/ascii and additional supported formats, with version and export options that matter when the receiving application has strict compatibility requirements.
Overview
FBXExporter is the classic Fusion 3D interchange endpoint. It can write FBX binary/ascii and additional supported formats, with version and export options that matter when the receiving application has strict compatibility requirements.
Think of FBXExporter as the handoff boundary for classic Fusion 3D: everything upstream must already be organized, scaled and animated correctly before it is written for another application.

Uses FBX binary (*.fbx) for format.
Uses FBX ascii (*.fbx) for format.
Uses FBX 6.0 binary / FBX 6.0 ascii for format.
Uses AutoCAD DXF (*.dxf) for format.
Uses Alias OBJ (*.obj) for format.
Uses Collada DAE (*.dae) for format.
Uses Biovision BVH (*.bvh) for format.
Uses Motion Analysis HTR/TRC, Acclaim ASF/AMC, Vicon C3D, Adaptive Optics AOA, Superfluo MCD for format.
Selects a compatible FBX version for the receiving application.
Sets Version to Default.
Sets Version to FBX202000 / FBX201900 / FBX201800.
Sets Version to FBX201600 / FBX201400 / FBX201300 / FBX201200 / FBX201100.
Sets the frame rate written to exported FBX animation.
Scales scene coordinates and dimensions by this factor during FBX export.
Includes scene geometry in the exported FBX file.
Includes scene lights in the exported FBX file.
Includes scene cameras in the exported FBX file.
Defines the range over which this operation is active.
Removes redundant animation keys whose values do not change.
Writes a separate FBX file for every frame instead of one animated scene.
Practical setup
Clean the 3D scene and remove temporary branches.
Confirm scene scale, axes and animation ranges.
Add FBXExporter at the scene boundary.
Choose the format and receiving-application-compatible version.
Export the file.
Open it in the target application and validate cameras, geometry and transforms.
Examples
Export a Fusion 3D scene to an external 3D package.
Write a tracked/animated camera as part of an interchange scene.
