Fog3D creates depth cues by progressively blending scene objects into a fog color according to their distance from the camera.

Mental model

Think of it as atmosphere between the camera and the objects: distant geometry disappears into the fog before nearby geometry does.

Controls / Enable

Turns Fog3D on or off.

Controls / Show Fog In View

Shows Fog In View in the Viewer for setup or diagnostics.

Viewer guides do not normally change the rendered image unless the control explicitly says otherwise.

Controls / Color

Sets the color of the 3D fog.

Controls / Red

Adjusts the red channel.

Use channel-specific controls when the operation should not affect all components equally.

Troubleshooting

Common mistakes

Setting Near/Far without checking the final camera.
