VolumeMask
3D volume masking
Limits volumetric 3D effects inside a spatial region, letting fog, density or other volume processing exist only where the scene needs it.
VolumeMask
Overview
What VolumeMask does
VolumeMask operates in a 3D volume context rather than as a flat 2D alpha mask. It is useful when fog or volumetric effects need a controlled spatial boundary that moves correctly with the scene and camera.
When to use it
Limit fog to a room or region
Create local volumetric light
Cut holes in a volume
Animate a volume boundary
Build layered atmospheric regions
Control expensive volume processing
