MatchColor

Start with a consistent working space and meaningful samples. The low pair describes shadows, the middle pair intermediate tones, and the high pair highlights. They define an image transform; they are not three independent spatial masks that automatically find the face, background and sky.

Colors chooses one, two or three pairs. With three anchors, align the low and high pair first, then the middle. Check each channel’s ordering: low R/G/B below the corresponding middle, middle below high. Strongly crossed anchors exceed a simple matching task.

The Controls PNG has a separate Alpha for every Source and Destination. The retained Alpha 1/2/3 entry names group those rows for this reference. Their former description as correction strength has been corrected: 0.0, 0.5 and 1.0 are displayed sample components, not effect percentages.

For a local change, use the retained Effect Mask input or blend the processed branch with the source in Merge. For transparent elements, make Pre-Divide / Post-Multiply consistent with the RGBA convention and inspect edges. Evaluate Super-Sampling after establishing correct anchors and masking.
