ObjectRemoval reconstructs the background in a removal region. Success depends on a correct mask, suitable scene analysis and available clean-plate information.

Overview

What ObjectRemoval does

Start with a small target and a mask that follows it on every frame. Green Mask defines the removal region and orange Input carries the source. Blue Effect Mask has a different job: restricting application of the reconstructed result.

Choose analysis according to the scene: Background uses the surroundings, Boundary the local boundary region, and Object a surface moving together with the target. Assume No Motion suits a locked camera even when the target moves. Recompute after changing the analysis conditions.

If the available background is insufficient, inspect the Internal clean plate or prepare an external background and connect it to magenta Clean Plate. Then evaluate Search Range, Linear Plate/Adaptive, seams and patch consistency over the whole range. Native verification of the exercises is still pending.

When to use it

Remove a small moving target against a stable background.
Remove a sticker or mark on a surface with coherent camera-relative motion.
Reconstruct a region using a prepared external clean plate.
Evaluate local removal with separate removal Mask and Effect Mask.
