sEllipse
Circles, ovals and animated arcs
Creates a vector circle, ellipse or outlined arc. Its shape output is edited before rasterization in sRender.
sEllipse
Overview
What sEllipse does
sEllipse generates shape data itself and accepts no image. It is a different tool from Ellipse in the mask category: similar circular geometry does not imply identical ports.
The shape has its own positioning system. Offset 0/0 means the center; Width and Height control geometry. Output-image dimensions and Pixel Aspect are set in sRender.
Solid makes the same ellipse a filled region or an outline. With Solid off, BMD21 documents Cap Style, Position and Length. The original Controls PNG has Solid on, so the hidden fields are added to the reference with an explicit condition.
Style sets color and transparency before rasterization. When a translucent shape is replicated, Allow Combining governs its overlapping copies. An opaque background after Merge hides that check in the final alpha.
Z Offset [3D] is retained from the original Inspector. The label is not treated as evidence of a scene3d output, a 3D input or a specific 3D workflow. Every lesson here ends the shape branch in sRender.
When to use it
Circular accents and badges in motion graphics.
Rings and open arcs with controlled ends.
Outline write-on animation through Length.
Repeated elements after sDuplicate or sGrid.
Checking alpha in translucent shape copies.
