Image card in a USD scene
Creates a USD image plane from an external image with size, transform and separate-stage export controls.
uImagePlane places a flat textured card directly into the USD scene. It is useful for references, backplates, billboards, matte cards, projection helpers and other cases where a 2D image needs a 3D position.
Overview
uImagePlane places a flat textured card directly into the USD scene. It is useful for references, backplates, billboards, matte cards, projection helpers and other cases where a 2D image needs a 3D position.
Think of uImagePlane as a photograph mounted on a flat card in 3D space: Filename chooses the picture, Size defines the card, and Transform positions it relative to the camera and scene.

Set card size and aspect intent.
Position it relative to the intended uCamera.
Use target orientation for billboard-like behavior only when appropriate.
Merge the plane with the shot stage.

Examples
Place a reference image behind USD geometry for layout and camera matching.
Place a textured plane in the scene as a simple 2.5D element.
