Mode — Distort / Undistort
Chooses the projection direction for extracting or reinserting a patch.
Spherical view distortion and reorientation
Distorts or undistorts spherical imagery by rotating a virtual view and controlling its angle of view.
ImmersivePatcher is a 360/immersive utility for extracting, reorienting or reinserting a view from spherical imagery without treating the panorama as a flat plate.
Overview
Rotation X, Y and Z define where the virtual camera looks inside the spherical environment. Rotation Order matters when several axes are combined because the order changes the final orientation.
Angle of View controls how wide the extracted or reconstructed patch is. Narrow values isolate a smaller region for repair; wider values provide more context but introduce stronger projection deformation.
The Distort and Undistort modes are useful as a pair: extract a workable perspective patch, perform paint or cleanup, then return the corrected result to spherical space.
Think of it as a virtual camera looking around inside a 360 sphere, with a reversible mapping between spherical and workable perspective space.

Practical setup
Load the spherical source.
Choose Distort or Undistort according to whether you are extracting or reinserting.
Rotate the virtual view onto the area that needs work.
Set Angle of View wide enough for cleanup context.
Perform the repair and reverse the mapping when required.
Examples
