Equirectangular patch extraction and repair
Extracts and reapplies regions of latitude-longitude panoramas for easier paint, cleanup and repair.
LatLongPatcher turns a selected region of an equirectangular panorama into a more practical view for retouching, then maps the repaired patch back to the original spherical image.
Overview
Extract mode creates a patch around the chosen spherical rotation. Apply returns the corrected patch to the panorama, while Apply 180 supports the corresponding 180-degree workflow when required.
Rotation order and X/Y/Z angles determine the exact location and orientation of the patch. Those values should remain consistent between extraction and application.
This is especially useful for removing tripods, rigs, seams and unwanted objects from 360 footage where direct paint on the stretched lat-long image would be difficult.
Think of it as temporarily flattening the difficult part of a globe, repairing it, and wrapping the corrected patch back onto the globe.

Practical setup
Choose Extract and rotate to the area that needs repair.
Set Angle of View to include enough surrounding context.
Paint, clone or clean the extracted patch.
Switch to the correct Apply mode using the same orientation.
Inspect the full lat-long frame for seams and pole artifacts.
Examples
Extract the nadir, repair the tripod area, and reapply the patch.
Work on a local perspective patch instead of stretched equirectangular pixels.
